Francesca Rosa’s practice is inspired by the history of photography as a form of investigation, evidence and categorization. Conceptually influenced by the forensic aesthetic, she documents the visual vernacular of artificial and natural interfaces throughout the Far North Queensland landscape. Ultimately, she is interested in researching personal and local histories to highlight concepts of memory, place, absence and loss.
